Let’s pledge (Sankalpa) to chant Shri Hanuman Chalisa from March 18 through April 18. We will celebrate the Samapthi of our parayana on April 19, 2025 during the NCHA Celebration of Hanuman Jayanti. The intention behind the Sankalpa is to ask Lord Hanumanji for his blessing so we can have an operating Temple by September 2025.
The Hanuman Chalisa is a 40-verse song to Lord Hanuman, the most devoted servant of Shree Ram, praising his exploits from the spiritual epic ‘The Ramayana.’ It was composed by Goswami Tulasidasji. Chanting the Chalisa is a life-changing journey into one’s heart space, opening us to the love within. The Hanuman Chalisa invokes the qualities of Hanuman, who through his wisdom, bhakti, and perfected skill in action embodies the integration of the faculties of the head, heart, and hands!
How do I participate?
Participating in NCHA Hanuan Chalisa Parayana is very simple. Just let us know that you plan to participate using the form above and report your daily count so we can keep a daily count of our collective chants. We will publish our total count here on this page and on our Social Media Pages.
We aim to collectively chat this sacred Mantra at least 1008 times in this Parayana Sankalpa.
- There are no Dos and Don’ts for Hanuman Chalisa Chanting. Your dedication and connection to Lord Hanuman are what matter most.
- Hanuman Chalisa can be chanted any time of the day, though many prefer to chant in the mornings or before bedtime.
- Sit in a clean place and think of Lord Shree Ram and Hanuman Ji.
- Chant one or more iterations of Hanuman Chalisa. Any one of the follwing methods to chant is accepted:
- Sing using any of the traditional melody
- Read the text of Hanuman Chalisa (Digital or Paper)
- Listen to Hanuman Chalisa. On YouTube, there are many melodious versions of the song by great singers, such as MS Subbalaxmi, Hariharan, Shekhar Ravjiyani, Morari Bapu, and Pt Jasraj.
- One iteration by each family member counts as one chant. So, four members listening or singing together will be considered four counts of chant.
- Report your count daily before 10:00 PM so NCHA can track and publish our collective count.
